    Sarah Gardner
    Psy.D.

    Dr. Sarah Gardner is a Neuropsychologist and a Licensed Psychologist in Maryland who provides neuropsychological, psychological, autism, developmental (5-years old and younger), and achievement testing.  Prior to earning her Doctor of Psychology in Clinical Psychology degree from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, Washington D.C., Dr. Gardner worked as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor after graduating from Johns Hopkins University with a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2015.  She also holds a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology.  She holds a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Autism Studies from Towson University, as well as a Certificate in Choice Theory/Reality Therapy from the William Glasser Institute. Her two-year Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Pediatric Neuropsychology was completed at Moore Counseling Center in Oklahoma assessing children for autism and testing children with epilepsy, cerebral palsy, tumors, genetic conditions, and many other medical challenges.

    Dr. Gardner received training at Children’s National Medical Center’s Neuropsychology Autism Department, Neuropsychology Associates of Fairfax, Community Services for Autistic Adults and Children, and the Eastern Oklahoma Veterans Affairs Healthcare System (APPIC and APA accredited internship).   She has been employed at the Kennedy Krieger Institute’s Center for Autism and Related Disorders, several Autism Waiver organizations, and several community mental health organizations.

    Dr. Gardner’s assessment expertise is in pediatric neuropsychological and neurodevelopmental conditions and concerns, such as autism, ADHD, and learning disabilities, epilepsy, tumors, concussions, cerebral palsy, and other medical issues.   Her therapeutic competencies range the lifespan, both children and adults.  She provides individual mental health therapy for a number of challenges and diagnoses, including trauma with evidenced based training in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Autism, ADHD, coping skill development, insomnia with evidenced based training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), depression, anxiety, and many other life difficulties.
