    Biography

Congratulations on taking the first step on your path to personal growth! At any age, seeking counseling requires strength and courage, and it is completely normal that you may be hesitant and have lots of questions. While the views regarding mental health are becoming more positive, the decision to seek help can still produce feelings of anxiety and hesitancy. Just know that the decisions that are often the most difficult or scary for us often lead us to a more positive, fulfilling path on the other side.

While much of my work has focused on children and adolescents in a variety of settings, including schools and residential treatment programs, I also have experience working with young adults and adults experiencing anxiety, self-esteem and relationship or family conflicts. My therapeutic approach is first and foremost client-centered, as I believe that a strong therapeutic relationship, non-judgement and unconditional acceptance are key to helping individuals grow. I do my best to promote a calm, accepting atmosphere, where all of my clients feel heard and comfortable to voice their concerns. While I am primarily client-centered, I do pull from a variety of techniques including reframing negative thoughts and beliefs, addressing patterns and attachments within the family and helping each client discover and utilize their unique strengths.

As each one of us is a unique individual, it is important for me to meet your individual needs and adapt techniques to fit each person. If you feel my approach would be a good fit for you, please feel free to reach out to me. I am honored to join you in your journey and I look forward to working with you.
