    Linnea Payne is a Registered Psychological Associate (MD) and Clinical Extern at Quince Orchard Psychotherapy, specializing in treating children, adolescents, and families dealing with various presenting issues, including depression, anxiety, ADHD, OCD, behavioral concerns, and medically complex cases.

    Linnea’s educational journey began with her undergraduate studies at St. John’s College in Santa Fe, NM, where she developed a strong academic foundation that laid the groundwork for her dedication to lifelong learning and helping others. She continued her pursuit of knowledge by earning a Master of Psychology from Divine Mercy University in Sterling, VA, and is currently enrolled in a doctoral program in Clinical Psychology at the same institution, showcasing her commitment to furthering her expertise in the field.

    In addition to her academic achievements, Linnea possesses a unique blend of artistic talent and empathetic expertise. This artistic background seamlessly integrates with her psychological abilities in her role as the artist-in-residence at Johns Hopkins Children’s Center in Baltimore, Maryland. There, she leverages her creative and compassionate skills to provide support to children and families facing the challenges of various medical conditions through the healing arts program.

    In her therapy sessions, Linnea often incorporates her love for art as a way to engage with her clients, utilizing parent training, cognitive-behavioral, client-centered, and play therapy approaches. She is dedicated to bringing out the strengths of each child and family, helping them flourish.

    Outside of her professional life, Linnea shares her journey with her husband and their beloved St. Bernard, George, who bring joy and warmth to her everyday experiences.
