    Joy Thibeault, LCSW-C

    Biography

    Joy is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-C) in the state of Maryland who enjoys working with children, teens, and adults from diverse backgrounds and diagnosis.  Joy is also a Certified Grief Counseling Specialist (CGCS), a Certified Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist (ASDCS), and in the past has been a certified school social worker with ancillary credits in special education. She received her masters degree in social work from SUNY-Buffalo in 2005, with a specialization in children and families.

    Joy has gained clinical experience working in telehealth settings, outpatient settings, day treatment program, group home, residential facility, and school settings.  She has 19 years of experience working with individuals on the Autism spectrum and with other developmental and neurological differences and mental health concerns.

    Joy is a creative, strengths-based clinician who enjoys incorporating all things arts based into her work as well as cognitive behavioral concepts, systems work, personalized coping strategies and mindfulness practices. In her spare time she enjoys creating art, teaching fitness classes, singing, dancing, and playing with her dog.
