    Genevieve Lu, LCPC

    Biography

    Genevieve earned her masters in Education and Human Development with a specialization in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The George Washington University in 2019. She started her professional clinical journey in the fall of 2019 at a special needs day school in Rockville, Maryland. Shortly after, she concurrently saw clients at a private practice in North Potomac. As of July 2021, she is fully licensed in the state of Maryland.

    Thus far, Genevieve has worked primarily with children ages 5-18 in both an individual and group therapy capacity. Areas of focus include, but are not limited to, anxiety, depression, ADHD, behavioral and emotional dysregulation, identity and self-esteem. Genevieve has also worked with adults seeking therapy for a wide array of reasons such as, relationship issues/concerns, major life transitions, grief and loss.

    Genevieve considers herself to be a heavily convicted Person-Centered and Cognitive Behavioral therapist who puts the therapeutic rapport and relationship first in order to foster a consistently safe environment for genuine exploration and expression of self.
