Genevieve Diamond, LCSW-C
Genevieve Diamond, LCSW-C, (she/her) has spent the majority of her life and professional career living in the DMV. Genevieve earned her Master of Social Work degree from University of Maryland, Baltimore in 2005.
As a social worker, she has worked with persons of all ages around a variety of issues. While mental health care is Genevieve’s strongest professional area, she has also worked in the fields of child welfare, clinical trials, medical social work, and supporting adolescents of the LGBTQIA+ community.
Genevieve is trained in and uses trauma focused therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and interventions pulled from many other modalities, IE. strengths based therapy, humanistic therapy, and acceptance & commitment therapy. Genevieve has no cookie-cutter approach and creates individualized plans with each client, making sure to meet the client where they are. Genevieve enjoys working with clients around a multitude of concerns, such as depression, anxiety and other mood disorders, gender exploration, sexuality exploration, trauma experiences, decision making, crisis intervention, and situational problems.
Genevieve is a life-long learner and shares that passion with newer social workers through individual and group supervision.
