    Aubrey Polasky
    Psychological Associate

Welcome! I offer comprehensive psychological assessments for children and adolescents. My focus is on the whole child and identifying their own individual learning style.

I work with children from 3 years to 18 years. I am a licensed psychology associate in the state of Maryland, a licensed school psychologist in DC, and a Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP).

I received my Masters and Specialist degree in Education (with a concentration in School Psychology) from Kent State University. I started my career working in DC schools and have extensive experience with diverse children from all backgrounds.

I have focused my career on designing and implementing prevention and intervention strategies to help struggling children receive equitable support in social-emotional health and in their academics.

I conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations and provide a therapeutic environment where children can fully unlock their potential. I utilize a wide variety of assessment tools and techniques to best analyze a child’s ability level and evaluate their development, academic achievement, cognitive ability, emotional well-being, and social skills. I conduct evaluations for autism, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, intellectual disability, developmental delays, specific learning disability (dyslexia), executive functioning, mood dysregulation disorders, and traumatic brain injuries. My written reports include straightforward results and practical, solution-focused recommendations that parents and teachers can feel confident implementing.

The journey of identifying how to best support your child may feel overwhelming; however, I strive to create an environment where your concerns are heard and we can gain a deeper understanding of your child.  I emphasize all the nuances of cognitive, social-emotional, and behavioral profiles so that we can feel more successful in daily life.

My skills and knowledge in education, data analysis, interventions, family-school relations, and professional ethics make me a strong supporter of the families I work with. Together, we can help your entire family flourish!
