I received my doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from Argosy University. My professional experiences at the Pennsylvania Counseling Service, Salvation Army Family Services, and the Kapi'olani Child Protection Center (in Hawaii) included working with families and individuals within these families who find that they need additional support in accepting one another and in helping to reach their shared and personal goals. Understanding each family's culture, structure, values and hopes during caregiver-child, individual, sibling, family or parenting sessions may help to identify the most effective way of respectfully and mindfully relating to one another. While my therapeutic approach is influenced greatly by the needs and communication style of each client, I believe that creating and maintaining a safe and empathic space is the most important step in moving away from feeling stuck and taking an active role in the process of healing. I provide psychotherapy for children, adolescents, adults, and families in English and Russian.
